Strategy:
- Become informed and educated
- Engage and awaken the “Silent Majority”
- Create and leverage Committees to focus on specific “Big Government” issues
- Link broadly to coordinate and collaborate with like-minded groups locally and nationally to gain scale, leverage, and power.
- Hold “Big government” accountable and force it to live up to its own “book of rules and regulations.”
- Engage traditional media to assure an honest and thorough presentation of all views
- Directly communicate with opposing politicians; at all levels and participate in protests/gatherings.
- Assure honest and fair elections and 2010 census
- Leverage new methods to communicate broadly with membership and like-minded individuals via social networks on the Internet.
Goals:
- Reduce the Federal Deficit, size of Federal Government, and financial involvement in the private sector and companies.
- Regain the balance of power among local Municipalities, States, and the Federal Government, as originally envisioned by our Founding Fathers and captured in the Constitution.
- Reduce politician’s power and corruption by eliminating the vicious cycle of campaign funding from powerful lobbyists, companies and organizations who in turn benefit from the politicians votes and earmarks.
- Term limits of no more than two terms, as exists for the Presidency, to limit politicians from establishing a power base. Politicians should be subject to same laws and government-imposed programs, such as Social Security and Medicare, as everyone else.
